Garbage In, Genius Out: Why What You Mean Is Not Always What You Get from AI?

About this session

AI does what you ask and not what you meant but that gap isn’t fixed with magic words. It’s fixed by clearer thinking. In this practical session, you’ll learn the ALCHEMY framework: seven questions that turn a rough idea into a prompt you can test, refine, and actually use. We’ll cover Aim, Load Context, Constrain, Human Perspective, Expected Output, Measure and Yield Improvements. You’ll see weak prompts rebuilt in real time and not by making them longer for the sake of it but by making the goal, audience, boundaries, evidence and success criteria visible. We’ll also unpack a common trap that fluent AI output can sound right while being incomplete, unsupported or wrong. Better prompts improve relevance as they don’t remove the need for judgment, verification or accountability. The end goal is to provide a practical method for producing clearer, safer and more useful AI outputs across technical, business, creative and educational work.
