Azure Government is a dedicated cloud for eligible US government customers and partners. It has separate regions and connection details, and Microsoft validates customer eligibility. A capability present in global Azure is not automatically available in the same form in Azure Government.
Before a prototype, list the required services, APIs, and regions and verify each against current government-cloud documentation. Use an approved synthetic dataset to test identity, endpoints, and deployment. Treat the organization's workload authorization as a separate requirement from having a cloud subscription.
