Building Real AI-Augmented Products as a Solo Technical Founder
About this session
In November 2025, I began building ThymeLine, a WhatsApp-first customer engagement platform. Four months later, I applied the same AI-augmented engineering method to Women Build Apps, a community platform I built from scratch.
Using the WBA member sign-up journey as the main case study, I’ll show how a simple requirement led to decisions about community safety, authentication, human review, access control and architecture. I’ll also explain why the two products began with different technology stacks, and why WBA’s API later moved from Supabase to Render as its backend needs grew.
This is a practical account of working mainly with Codex as a solo technical founder. AI helped me compare options, write and review code, investigate failures, plan migrations and prepare tests. I remained responsible for the product rules, evidence and release decisions.
Attendees will leave with a repeatable four-step method: frame, delegate, verify and learn.
